This species of Eucalyptus is the only one that naturally grows in the northern hemisphere. Colors range from blue, purple, violet, red, orange, green, maroon and red.  You will not find two trees that look the same.

In the first place if you wanted like to grow own of these trees the you should know what conditions are needed. Habitat needed for these trees is especially slightly moist and warm and reasonably drained. Generally  these trees cannot survive if it is in a frosty climate.

Depending which country the tree originates from gives the tree many local names. For example they are also known as rainbow eucalyptus, Mindanao gum, or rainbow gum.

For the most part this tree is an evergreen and comes into flower once a year. Furthermore normally it would be naturally pollinated by bees. It then produces a gum nut which has seeds inside it.

Finally Rainbow Eucalyptus are now commonly grown in plantations throughout the world. They thrive where conditions are perfect for them. They are used mainly for pulpwood in the production of white paper. When conditions are right the tree also grows very quickly. The biggest of these types are in the Philippines where pulp and paper production accounts for a substantial part of the economy.
